I'm using MySQL on Windows 2003 Server and have found that the ODBC
driver will not work. They worked fine on Windows 2000 but my hard disk
crashed and I had to rebuild my machine. I possibly foolishly decided to
upgrade to windows 2003. The MySQL install worked fine and the database
is running OK but I had the problems explained below with the ODBC
drivers.
I've tried installing both MyODBC-3.51.04.exe and MyODBC-3.51.06.exe but
get the same issue with both. The installation goes through without a
problem but when you try to add a DSN it gives the following errors.
(1) The setup routines for the MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver ODBC Driver
could not be loaded due to system error code 126.
(2) Could not load the setup or translator library.
Both appear in popup boxes with an OK button.
I don't know if you can reply to these bug reports but if you can I'd
appreciate you letting me know if a version comes out that fixes the
problem.
For now I'll find another way to do it though!
