max number of clients connected simultaneously

Hello everybody,

I want 5 PC to connect to the same remote server. Also I want them to connect to the same table in the same database. Is it possible or the max number of clients is less than 5?

Mine is set to 100, so, I don't think you'll have much trouble with it
*lol* MySQL can handle thousands of connections. It all depends on
your system performance.

MySQL does not have this kind of problems but he could still run into
this problem if he does not use a server version of Windows.

Even if only 5 PCs connect to a none server Windows, it might fail
already depending on other programs running.

That's why I mentioned the "system performance", and no, there's no
problem running mysql on windows "no server" (whatever that means...
no services? not nt like (xp, 2000, nt)?). I mantained a server with
win98se running cool for almost 3 months, with thousands of daily
connections and the max concurrent of 15, so, there's no problem with
it, yes, you run into problems when the power goes and all this stuff,
besides you have some system instability, but that's just because
later win OS need huge machine power to run, and that alone makes them
more trustable.
