Looking for Outsourced Mailing List Vendor
am 16.08.2005 07:23:11 von CHANGE USERNAME TO westes
I have a very small number (less than 10) of very small mailing lists (less
than 50 users per list), and I would like to find a service to outsource
those to. The key requirements are:
- I need to be able to send e-mail with a personalized header to each user,
and without each user seeing all of the other users' names.
- I don't want any group conversation capability, so e-mail to the list
account should not be distributed to the list.
- All my interactions with the list should be through a web interface.
- I should be able to set the From address to my personal e-mail.
There are some good mailing list servers available, both commercial and
freeware, but I really don't want the hassle to maintain yet another server.
Such a simple requirement as I am defining here should be something I can
buy from an outsourcer at an attractive price.
What options do I have to buy this as a service?

See http://www.emailman.com/hosting/lists.html
You are looking for "announce-only" or "newsletter" (as opposed to
discussion) hosting.
Most list hosting companies let you set a list to
announce-only/newsletter. Some will let you do the personalized header
to each recipient (do you mean each person sees their name? or just that
they don't see all the other names?)
