RE:Windows 2003 Server - SP1 / IIS 6.0 / FPSE 2002 Installed

In this example I am extending server extensions to the example domain:
“www.mydomain.com” but the issue happens with ALL sites I have tired to
install extensions on.

I just installed FPSE 2002 on a new HDD with a fresh OS/IIS installation. I
have all my websites and mail working.

It appears that I am successfully installing FPSE on the website as I am
properly transported over to the “Extend Virtual Server with FrontPage Server
Extensions 2002” in the browser and then prompted to specify the
“Administrator” user name, as expected.

As I have done in the past with previous installations, I accept the default
“SERVERNAME/adminlogin” and click the “Submit” button. Then I am taken to
the “Server Administration” page where all my websites are listed, again as I
would expect.

I then click on the “Administration” link next to the
“http://www.mydomain.com” website I just extended, and I am properly taken
to the “Virtual Server Administration” page. There I click on the same URL
as shown that is next to “go to site administration” at the top of the page.
As I should, I get a normal login prompt.

THIS IS THE ISSUE:

I enter (no quotes “”) in “SERVERNAME/adminlogin” OR “SERVERNAME\adminlogin”
OR “adminlogin” (I used to just have to enter “adminlogin”) and the Server
Administrator password but I am not provided access. The login box keeps
popping up. Then I am transported to the following page after three or four
tries: http://www.mydomain.com/_vti_bin/_vti_admin/fpadmdll?page=we badmin.htm
which says
“You are not authorized to view this page”

When I try to login again, the login field has been auto populated with
“www.mydomain.com/adminlogin” which does not work either.

As suggested by a support tech earlier, the “adminlogin” server admin
account needed to have FULL CONTROL to the ALL the Website folders. I made
sure this is the case but has had no effect.
