Error on connecting

Hi,
I try to connect VB with MYSQL server using MYODBC without a DSN, i get an error saying that it is unable to connect to server on 'server name'. Error number 10060

This is a common error and can be caused by many things. If you look
into the mailing list archives you will find all the answers.

In Control Panel, where you set up the ODBC connection, does a Test
Connection work OK?
