MessageID

Hi,

At my mail server I can download an email and save it on my hard disk.
When I open it with text editor there are some words and after them
some values. For example MessageID - <45345af43...>

I would like to ask where does this "MessageID" come from? Is it part
of some protocol and which?

Yep. See RFC 2822, section 3.6.4.
