"datetime" problem moving from 3.x to 4.x under OS X

"datetime" problem moving from 3.x to 4.x under OS X

am 16.03.2004 22:05:29 von Support

Hi,

When Apple's OS X Server updated mysql from 3.x to 4.x datetime columns
no longer appear correctly. Reverting to the previous version of mysqld
shows
the datetime columns correctly. New entries added under 4.x are not
shown
correctly under 3.x and vice versa.

Is there an easy way to update the records with datetime entries made
under 3.x
so that I can apply the OS X server updates?

TIA

john elemans

What do you mean "incorrectly" ?
Can you show a query that returns incorrect results ?
What client do you use to connect to mysqld ?

Sergei

The bad dates are random characters. They return with any and all SELECT
statements. The results are the same in any client, my own application,
YourSQL,
or even using mysql from the command line.

Are you using our binary ??

This sort of behaviour could happen with badly built binaries.
