email host with alias management

What email host would host my email, let me create/destroy aliases at will
(and allow me to attach note to each alias), has virus scan, pop3/smtp?

I currently use mailshell. It has all the above features, but it is not very
user friendly. Attaching a note to each alias is not convenient, and the
note is not displayed anywhere that's convenient to see. Plus if I delete an
alias by mistake (thinking that is is no longer in use), there is no way to
catch or be notified of any email being sent to that alias.

Are there other alternatives?
