Looking for a replacement for Mailblocks.

Mailblocks is closing down (having been bought by AOL and their
technology integrated in to AIM).
I'm having problems finding an alternative with the functionality I
used, as follows:
1. email receipt whitelisting WITHOUT challenge response i.e. treat any
emails from an address I don't know as spam unless I manually mark the
message as good.
2. pop3 access.
Not particularly demanding requirements I would have thought.
I've tried a number of alternatives, e.g.:
AIM - no pop3 access - only IMAP which doesn't suit my usage.
gmail - no whitelists, pop3 access seems unleriable
bluebottle - nearly there but can't turn off challenge response and
retain whitelisting.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Many thanks.
Steve.

Ironically enough there is an alternative to Phil Goldman's Mailblocks
and it is Mail-Block.com. This service came to my attention about a
year ago when my broadband provider (Bright House Networks) sent out a
email newsletter recommending this service to stop spam on the Road
Runner email that they provide.
Having had the opportunity to use both I can tell you that the
procedure used by Mail-Block is much less bothersome to someone sending
me email for the first time. There are no text fields that need to be
filled out, just a simple one time click of an encoded link.
Apparently this company was around before Mailblocks came on the scene.
They have this system in use on their ISP (www.695online.com) and it
looks like they license this technology.
Totally Happy with "Zero Spam".

Ed

It seems just as bothersome as any other C-R mail system for people who
receive challenges to email that they never sent.
