mysqlcc hangs on initialization (Win)

Hi,

okay, i know the mysqlcc (control center) is not
supported anymore. However, i am using it every day, and right now i am
having trouble with it. When
i start the mysqlcc on win xp, a button on task bar appears for the cc, but
the main window does not open.

I have several database connections configured, and i am not sure if i use
"show tables" or "show table status" on
opening these connections. I think a help would be how to reset these
settings.

I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mysqlcc 0.9.4. However,
the problem still remains. Can anybody
please give me some suggestions how to track down the problem and fix it?

Hello,

Look at "C:\Documents and Settings\{your user name}\.mysqlcc . May be in
the folder connections you'll find an error.
If not, try to delete the folder .mysqlcc and reinstall mysqlcc.

Why dont you try SQLyog at http://www.webyog.com.

Its free and works great.

I've tried quite a few of them and can vouch for SQLyog, which I prefer
far and above the rest. I find that it has a few quirks in the way that
it is organized, but overall performs very nicely for my needs.

Thanks for your suggestion. It was a problem in the mysqlcc.cfg. The
settings for MainWindow where a little bit silly.
Now, it works fine.
