Connection Mysql Administrator

Hello Friends,

First I was problems with this error: root@localhost
acess denied, but I solve this with your help in this
list.

I have another problem with connection at Mysql Server
by Mysql Administrator:

Store connection : First
Server Host: localhost
user: root
port: 3306
pass: domenica

I have Windows xp home, I download the lastest version
5.0.15 Server and Administrator.

The error:

Could not conect to the especific instance.
Mysql error number 2003
Can´t connect to Mysql Server on localhost (10061)

I don´t have problems with the connection to Mysql
Server when I use Mysql Command Line Client, I only
introduce the password and ready.

In order to help you, I'll have to give more info, the simple fact
that Administrator gives you a connection error is not enough, I can't
seem to notice any problem if you are able to connect using mysql at
command line, the only problem I can think is the approuch you're
using and your server specific configs. I'm using Administrator to
deal with 5 databases in 5 different servers, some win, some lin and
never had problems.

Maybe a DNS problem?! Check your HOSTS file to see if there's an entry
there that looks like:

127.0.0.1 localhost

If not, add it and try again, if you're still unable to connect, post
your MySQL config file and your server ipconfig and route outputs.
