PC control

I am looking for software that can control access to a child's PC.
Specifically, I am looking for something that can log all programs my
child runs (including time spent in the program) and also set time
limits on certain groups of programs, ie - allow 1 hour of "game"
software per day.
Is there anything out there that can do this?
Thanks in advance.

There is no software solution, which is reliable for that. There are
only very good wetware solutions for it.
Say: your child needs an adult, who attends to her/him. This job
cannot be done by a piece of hardware or some software program.

Thanks for the response - that's great in theory, but a high school kid
can't have an adult standing over him every minute of the day! I use
anti-virus software that knows what programs I'm running - I can't
believe there's nothing out there that does what I need!

Yes. And a high school kid will be intelligent enough to circumvent
any "child security" system, you will try to enforce. She/he will hear
from her/his schoolmates, how to do this, if she/he will not be able
to find out herself/himself.

There's sure as heck a market for this, but I'm not aware of anything
all that reliable for it right now. Net Nanny and the like are out
there, but are circumventable by a savvy kid.

Does anybody know anything about KidsWatch software
(http://www.kidswatch.com) or WatchDog software
(http://watchdogpc.com)???
I can't find any reviews of them from reputable (pcmag, cnet, zdnet,
etc...) sites, but these programs claim to be able to at least put
individual time limits on software (I really want to find one that can
GROUP programs so I can put 10 games into one bundle and allow 1 hour
per day)....
Again - thanks for any comments!
