Max for windows?
am 13.01.2006 15:31:21 von Joelle Tegwen
I'm trying to get the federated engine and I'm not finding a Max
download for Windows and I went through the install process for the one
provided and I don't see anywhere to enter the configuration line required.
Am I missing something obvious? The help is very scarce on this topic.
Thanks
Joelle

All mysql server varieties are included in the mysql installer, and zip
archive. Look in the mysql 'bin' dir for 'mysqld-max-nt'.

Here is the line you want to include in the WinMySQLAdmin section of the
My.ini file. Change the path to suit your installation.
[WinMySQLAdmin]
Server=3DC:/mySQL/bin/mysqld-max-nt.exe

Thanks for that bit of direction. I added some comments to the website
that will hopefully help others.
