problems using ms project with myodbc
am 14.01.2006 09:33:41 von brainheapHi!
I'm trying to connect my MS Project 2003 to mysql 4.0.22 server via ODBC to avoid using microsoft sql server.
Despite many rumors I've got a ready connection from the first time without problems but when saving a project I get a mysql server error message that it cannot accept LONGCHAR type while creating new table. I've looked through and found out ms access engine started to name MEMO field (that was suitable) as a LONGCHAR (not LONGVARCHAR) unfortunately.
I'm using mysql for years without serious problems but I was always using native client in my programs but for now I'm to use ODBC - so I'm a newby once again :0)
Any ideas how to solve the problem except for rewriting myodbc driver sure :0)
