IISRESET - Access Denied

Hi everyone....

I'm having trouble on two of my Windows 2000 servers.
Server A has a scheduled task (batch file) that restarts the IIS service on
Server B using the IISRESET utility.
The IISRESET command used to work....now it doesnt.
Comes back with error code...

Access denied, you must be an administrator of the remote computer to use this
command. Either have your account added to the administrator local group of
the remote computer or to the domain administrator global group.

Group membership and access rights check out ok. Nothing has changed account
or domain wise (that i know of)

Even trying iisreset serverB /status gives that error.
Really stumped on this one.


Question:
Could it be that iisreset....
1. Is turned off via some reg hack (if so ...where do i look)
2. Disabled by Group Policy (reaching here....)
3. Disabled altogether by some MS Hotfix or SP (streeeeeeeetching......)
4. Aliens? (SNAP!)

What user context is the scheduled task running under?

Is the username/password combination still valid for the account?

sched task is set to run as a valid account with admin rights.
Moreover... we've taken the sched task out of the picture altogether and are
issuing the commands directly at the DOS prompt.

Still the same error...

I see on these servers that SP4 was applied in 08/05 (b4 i got here)
The client doesnt "think" it could have gone bad that long ago (and not
noticed)

but I'm finding some interesting tids regarding SP4 and Impersonation rights
etc...

Anyone with more info on this please sound off....
This might be the dark horse.... I've struck out on everything else...
