SSL question

SSL question

Hi,
I would like to implement in an IIS more than one SSL certificates, for
example one domain name is www.test.com and the other one is www.test2.com
and both of them in to a server and there is only one IP address. Need I use
more than one ip address or more ? if could we use more than one ssl
cetificates on an ip address would you please explain how?

So your looking at 1 IP Address for each hosted site.
Its a requirment of SSL.

not with iis 6
you can also use wildcards

Yes but all the hosted sites are not subdomains ( so I cant use wildcard)
and I have read If you wanna use ssl, you have to have as many ip address
as you want to host the ssl site because the IIS can't understand the
"https" host header. But I am not quite sure about that that is why I am
asking for.

By the way the system is IIS5.0

Not possible.

1 IP per certificate.

1 IP per certificate.
