Attachment info in mail headers

Attachment info in mail headers

am 23.02.2006 21:15:07 von sfarifi

Hello everyone,

I will appreciate any info / pointers on whether there an entry in the
mail headers that lists the filenames (or other info) of the message's
attachments. Is there something like an "unabridged dictionary of
header fields" ? This question applies to both ms exchange and internet
mail messages. Where should I look into?

Many thanks in advance,
-arifi

RFC 4021 might be a good starting point.

This is a MIME GnuPG-signed message. If you see this text, it means that
your E-mail or Usenet software does not support MIME signed messages.
The Internet standard for MIME PGP messages, RFC 2015, was published in 1996.
To open this message correctly you will need to install E-mail or Usenet
software that supports modern Internet standards.

Specifically, you want to look at the Content-Disposition: header. See also
RFC 2045.
