MySQL-PHP (Torrentflux) question

When I try to startup Torrentflux I get the following error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in
C:\public_html\TF2\html\adodb\drivers\adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 338

Line 338 of that file is the one that starts with $this-> (the fifth one
down from here:
