eudora "keep messages o server"

Hello
I have Eudora 5 configured to "keep messages on server"
Sometimes I download, ON THE SAME COMPUTER, the messages i have already
download some days ago; They should be flagged "read" and no more
downloaded.
I also noticed that eudora can only download 100 messages at a time;
The questions are:
- Who manages the flagging of the messages already read for a client?
- Is it a bug of Eudora ? (The problem occurs with various POP3 severs...)
If you know this problem ...
Thanks

Presumably the reason you leave mail on the server is so you can access
those messages from elsewhere. The access from other locations might
explain why some messages are redownloaded.
You should upgrade to the newest version which most likely has a better
mechanism to distinguish between messages that are new and messages that
were already retrieved.
As to the 100 message limit, that limit could be within your settings.

The redownload issue sounds like a bug in Eudora (I'm using 5.1). I believe
it's happened to me before, but I recall something about the issue being at
my ISP. I don't really like the newer version, since they seem to have
eliminated a feature I like (don't ask.. at this point, I don't remember
what that was any more).
I've never had a problem downloading more than 100. I've downloaded many
more than that at one time. Perhaps there's a timeout issue? Check Advanced
Network. Not sure what else to suggest.
