C/ODBC v3.51.13 SQLMoreResuts
am 10.03.2006 21:25:31 von pharvey
Another prerelease as been uploaded to;
ftp.mysql.com/pub/mysql/hidden/connectors/odbc/mysql-connect or-odbc-3.51.13-win32.msi
This will be of interest for those who want SQLMoreResuts. Its a first
pass but our smoke tests seem to indicate it works fine. Please give it
a try and let us know how it works for you.

This one is more unstable than the last.
Now I'm getting the dreaded 'catastrophic failure' error ... somewhere.
I clicked the 'debug' button in the error dialog to see what had caused
such a catastrophe, but then Access crashed.
The SQL log for this crash is up at:
http://www.nusconsulting.com.au/2006-03-15-sql.log
... however I don't see anything that strange about it.
Anyway, where I was getting a good 10 - 15 minutes out of the previous
one, this version of 3.51.13 lasts less than 1 minute before stacking it.

Are you getting calls to SQLMoreResults? There should be no difference
otherwise.
I get the feeling that you are experiencing a problem re. mdac ver diff
- but not sure. It would help if you could send an mdb that you are able
to use to create the problem - a watered down ver of your app perhaps.
This would have to include any ddl and sample data.
Daniel, i know you sent me some usefull info on this but its on the
office machine - i am on the road for next 2.5 weeks.

That could be the case. I recently followed the instructions at:
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=9932 to override the system msjet.dll
with another for Access. This was to get around Access crashing when I
relink tables.

That's fine. I'll grab the Access shell, the MySQL DB and other stuff
tomorrow morning and send it to you ... I'm on my way out right now
( and already late ).
