Après l’installation de langage MySQL, je tente de faire une connection avec une base de donnée MySQL existe (a partir « Administrateur de source de donnée ODBC »); et je mentionne que MyODBC 3.15 deriver est installé mais un message s’affiche :

[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]Access denied for user 'ODBC'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Et, si je remplis la case « user » ; autre message dit :

[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver] Client does not support authentification protocol requested by server ; consider upgrading MySQL client.

well, as we've even seen korean-language here in the list,
french should be quite a doodle...

if you don't supply a username, the odbc-driver wants to log you in as =
'odbc'

and please spare us with subjects like "help","nobody understands me" or =
"demmande d'aide" instead, write a short description covering your =
problem :-)

hello,

I found the first message of abdennacer messai on the myodbc list. I
respond in french to him that we use english as common language and i
indicate first a way of search for his problem ( user and access rights
to mysql database) and second that win32 list seem more appropriated for
an help on parametring access rights.

I think he don't understand english and i wrote directly in french to
help him. I indicate also a french mysql forum
http://mysql.ifrance.com/index.php? which will be more easy to use for
someone like him
