log in problem to a link

Our apps developers created a website with a link for comments. When users
click on the link to enter comments it asks them to enter username, password
and domain name. I checked the settings for this page and the windows
autentication is selected (I should mention that this website is internal
only, Intranet). The folder has the correct rights for our users to be able
to write to this folder also. What else need to be done? Is there a global
policy in a domain for issues like this? We have one domain only. Thanks.

You can configure the browser to attempt to automatically log the user in.

(and you can configure similar behaviour for Firefox, not sure about other
browsers). You can use a GPO to manually add your site to IE's Intranet
security zone.
