Majordomo redux: or does Connor own this NG?
Majordomo redux: or does Connor own this NG?
am 24.04.2006 21:33:57 von Reestit Mutton
Having been accosted by the apparent owner of the NG, I'm left without
an answer to the previous post. Majordomo behind an ISP: problems?
Howtos?
Or does anyone reading this NG know anything about Majordomo in any
case? If not, any suggestions about where to inquire?
Thanks for reading.

That subject doesn't make any sense to me, but one thing I've
learned about trolls: Don't let them suck you into their
infantile mindphukk word games.
Try juvenile insults on the subject line, if you wish.
I say what I want and I don't read trolldung and you live with
it.

haven't for years. He follows me all over the Usenet, and I
still don't read his articles. This _really_ pisses him off.

Majordomo is generally considered to be obsolete, so it may be difficult
finding people who admit to expertise in it. The currently preferred
mailing list processor is Mailman:

A list of things that make sense to you would be a much shorter list, so I
suggest you try that approach, next.

That's right: laugh at them, call them a Beavis, and set the followups to

It elicited a response out of you, Beavis, so it wasn't really so boring.

And you don't know how to use toilet paper. So what? Nobody is asking for
the intimate details of your wretched life.

Beavis, what exactly is your fascination with human excrement? Is that a
major component of Bigfoot's diet, or something?

Unfortunately, Majordomo is not as popular as it once was, back in its glory
days, and few people really know much about it, any more.

Look for a majordomo-specific mailing list, if there is one.

Aha. I knew that majordomo had been around for a long time, but was
unaware that it was that far out of usage.
I shall investigate Mailman.
Thanks for this substantive response!

ROFL!!
You know, you read about such characters as Conner, and think that
surely they are being way overdrawn. Nope, the reality is stranger than
the description! Goes to show just how extensive human potential really
is. Too bad this one extended in such a bizarre direction. Well,
entertainment potential and all that, but rather quickly palls, I find.
And of course Conner will not read this .
That's enough, I think.

Indeed. Poor Beavis. He must be very lonely. Every time he goes to browse
a group, every message in the group gets deleted by his amazing telepathic
filters. So there's nothing for him to read. Must be such a bore.
> That's enough, I think.
Nah. Beavis never gets tired of getting bitch-slapped, and he always comes
back for more.
