If this happened after 30th June 2006, I guess they wouldn't have bothered?
Looking thru the file modification dates, the fp_mod hasn't changed, just
the author, shtml, counter, etc.
Would I be right in saying that just un-tarring the files in the right place
would be enough, or doest the script have to be run?
Thanks
Dave

I tried just copying over the newer files and that did not work. Got
errors like this in the Apache 1.3.34 logs:
File does not exist:
/usr/local/apache/frontpage/schoolpages/fp/_vti_bin/shtml.ex e/_vti_rpc
So then I ran the fp_install script and those errors went away but then
I started getting reports of some (not all) people not being able to
login to their webs and e-mail forms bringing up "FrontPage extensions
not installed" errors after clicking submit. Reverted back to the old
extensions from backup and everything is back to normal.
Has anybody successfully applied the security upgrade?

I just did, running 2.0.54 here.
I stopped short on web upgrades, after doing a few, don't know if that was a
bad thing?
All is working, and am grateful to rtr.
That was my first server, will try 2nd another time.
Don't know if there was a seg fault before the upgrade on a process,
although apache was shut down, it wasn't, had to halt a rouge process.
