trouble with Yahoo mail

trouble with Yahoo mail

I am unable to acess my Yahoo email. It has been three days since I was
able to get into my email account. I send messages to Yahoo - via their
reporting system - and get form replies back. I am using my work email
to communicate with them but don't want to continue doing that.

Since it has been so long, should I just bag it and get another email
account with another server? If so, what do you all recommend? Hotmail?

A couple of my friends tell me they have had trouble with Yahoo
recently as well. Anyone know what is going on?

Thanks.

"unable to access" is rather/too vague. What (exact) error message(s)
are you getting, and at which stage?

I hardly ever have a problem with Yahoo! Mail, but what sometimes does
happen is that *one* (or a few) of their mailservers is having problems,
which affects the accounts on those systems, but not the accounts on
other systems.

The server name is visible in the Address bar (assuming Internet
Explorer) or similar. For example for me it now says:

http://us.f605.mail.yahoo.com/ym/welcome?YY=
^^^^^^^

So give some details, including the server name, etc..

I have been having problems with Yahoo mail for about the same period
of
time as 'teacher'. I am attempting to access Yahoo mail over the web.

The problem is this: I can read email fine. However, when I go to
'compose'
a new message, ordinarily there is a large text box in which to type
the
message. Now, however, when I compose a new message, there is
simply no text box in which to type the message. It is therefore, for
all
intents and purposes, impossible to send email using Yahoo, as any
message sent would be empty.

I have a couple of accounts on Yahoo--this problem occurs with one
account
and does not occur with the other.

Any ideas?

Regarding servers:

The account that WORKS is on:

us.f818.mail.yahoo.com

The account that DOES NOT WORK is on:

us.f336.mail.yahoo.com

Thanks!
