NNTP with SSL

What steps do I need to take to secure IIS6 nntp newsgroups with SSL?

I have a working, valid certificate on the webserver on the same server, and
that does work with SSL. I exported it and then imported into the default
nntp server, but I'm still not sure what additional steps I need to do so
that users are required to use a userid/password on port 563.

I have tried all combinations of

Enable SSL authentication,
Require client authentication,
Basic Authentication,
and Integrated windows authentication

users are defined as local users on that Windows 2003 server.

but have only been able to connect on 119, or not at all.

What did I miss?
