restrict CDROM AND OTHER REMOVABLE DEVICES

hello,

i am looking for , to apply permission to CDROM,USB storage devices and

Other removable storage medias, want to give Readonly, for some users,
full acces to administrators and denied permission to some others, if
there is any option in windows to do that.

May be you can google for a software called sanctuary device control
which offers such functions....

The patch for this issue was released (build 305) several days ago at
the same time when this "vulnerability" (which is actually not a
vulnerability) was reported. Now they have released version 6. Hence,
your information is not accurate.

This is not true as well as. DeviceLock supports all kind of devices -
with or without file systems. Even storage devices without the file
system (the raw format) can be blocked.

We use DeviceLock to block access to all devices except mouses and
keyboards. Also, some specific USB flash drives (encrypted and with
serial numbers) are allowed for certain users.
