Micsrofost Access cannot import link ODBC table

Micsrofost Access cannot import link ODBC table

Hello,
I'm using Windows 2K with Ms. Access 2K to connect
to MySQL server. My Client Computers do windows update from
Local server using WSUS server. After I installed Update Rollup
Windows 2K SP4, Ms. Access cannot connect to MySQL.
I know the problem comes from Msjet40.dll which
Update Rollup installed, so I replaced the new Msjet40.dll
with the previous version and it's worked well.
But unfortunately, after I replaced Msjet40.dll with the
previous version, My computer ask me to do windows update
again. The patch file is same (Update Rollup), and if I install
the patch file my computer cannot connect to MySQL again.

Is there any idea for this problem ?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
MOEL

Have a look at the bug report at:
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=9932

The solution that worked for me was posted by Jean-Nicholas Harvey - the
'msaccess.exe.local' workaround.

It's unfortunate that this situation has existed for over a year, but
hopefully it will be resolved in MyODBC-5. Perhaps someone should add a
link to the 'working with MS Access' page on the MySQL site. It will (
well ... it *should* ) save me from directing people to the bug page.
