PHP Text editor ?

Yes, I know one could use just about any text editor. Ideally what I
would like however would be something with most/all of the following :

(1) Free.

(2) Able to open the system "default" browser (or an internal one)
without needing to "copy and paste" the file address.

(3) Able to run from a USB drive.

(4) Able to give an error if incorrect syntax used.

(5) Able to give an idea where an error may be.

(6) Able to suggest what an error may be.

(7) Able to run with an XP system.

It is probable that the above doesn't even exist BUT I thought
I might ask anyway. Just in case it does. :-)

If anyone has used Stone's Webwriter, with Javascript, they will
know the sort of thing I mean.

EditPlus.

If you were willing to put a *lot* of effort into learning a new editor, vi/vim, emacs,
pfe or MultiEdit are also top-notch editors capable of what you seek.

Hi, I use Editpad pro, its got quite a few syntaxs loaded into it which
makes it good for other scripting languages too, has a tabbed interface
so you can have a bunch of files open at once without clutter, syntax
highlighting, line numbering, bracket equaliser ect. you can run the
script from the program to if you have php installed locally. Free for
30 days but after that it says trial is over but it still works
completey normal no limitations..
