Access 2003 crashes on odbc-connection

Access 2003 crashes on odbc-connection

am 01.08.2006 15:08:57 von Ruprecht Helms

Hi,

does someone made the same experiences.
I made a odbc-connection to a mysql-server with user linux.
By testing the connection from the myodbc-driver the connection works fine.

When I try to insert a chained table in Access 2003 my Access crashes.

What can I do to solve that problem?

Regards,
Ruprecht

I use this combination and it works fine.

When you say "insert a chained table", I assume you mean you go File/Get
External Data/Link Tables and then select an ODBC data source.

At what point does it crash? Do you get to see the list of tables in the
MySQL database?

Happens to me too when using a newer MyODBC driver. Switching back to an
older driver solves the problem=20
