100% CPU Usage on installing dbd-Oracle

Hi,

please can you help me (ore give me a hint) about my Problem on installing =
the=20

Perl Modul dbd-Oracle 1.17=20
on a W2K Server with=20
Active State Perl 5.8.8 Build 817 and
ppm Installer Version 3.4.

The Installation hang's with 100% CPU Usage after the Message:

Fechting oraociei10.dll.gz (28Mb)
28Mb/28Mb (100.00%)

I killed the Package Manager after one hour waiting.
Do i this on a W2k Workstation, everything runs fine.

Any Hint for me?

My installation is getting stuck in the same place but I am running on
Windows XP SP2.

I ran process explorer from sysinternals and here is some of the info:
There are file handles open on:
C:\Perl\bin\oraociei10.dll
C:\Perl\bin\gzoraociei10.dll
C:\temp\DBD-Oracle-1-7244-1155845719
among other files.

There are three perl processes running and between them they use all the CPU
they can get.
