Win32 Server Quits Unexpectedly

Well this is a problem that i have had for a while, where if i access
the stored procedures from a win32 mysql server using SQLyog the server
quits unexpectedly. This also happens with the MYSQL administrator but
not with some client tools like EngInSite MySQL Client. Every time this
happened i just copied the files to a new mysql installation and all
worked fine. After months of this happeneing i decided to investigate.

It seems that somehow in the mysql.procs table when im making my stored
procedures, "something" happens and at times the db field enters as a
blank (empty string, not null). try it. make a database with a table and
a simple stored procedure, then go into the proc table and remove the
data in the db field then use sqlyog to access the procs of your
database. it just quits!

Although ive found a solution to this problem, does anyone have any idea
why this happens in the first place?
