mysqli_commit and mysqli_rollback

Hi All,
I have encountered problems where in the middle of a transaction
if there is a revoke or grant command and if that fails and if the
mysqli_rollback function is called it has no effect.
Could it be that transactions have no effect on grant/revoke
commands as they don't have on DDL commands.

Please Help.
