I/O to a USB Fantom HD Failing
am 06.11.2006 22:54:33 von Marshall LakeI have a Fantom USB 300GB HD attached to an older computer running SuSE
10.0. I'd like to use this HD for backup purposes across an internal home
network.
In attempting to remote copy about 8 GB of data (made up of many files)
the USB drive on the older machine craps out after a few minutes of
copying with the errors:
kernel: usb 1-1: reset full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2
kernel: usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
kernel: usb 1-1: USB disconnect, address 2
kernel: scsi0 (0:0): rejecting I/O to device being removed
Can someone tell me what's going on and how to correct the problem?
