Frontpage Mail Forms on Unix Box

Frontpage Mail Forms on Unix Box

I was advised by my hosting provider that my frontpage email forms will not
work on Unix boxes, even with frontpage server extensions installed. I am
utilizing Frontpage 2003. Is this true........forms haven't worked since
they switched Windows to Unix boxes.

It is up to your host to choose which features of the FrontPage
extensions they will support - your host has chosen to not support the
forms email transport. Your host may have another solution for emailing
form data, such as PHP, Perl/CGI

They *can* be set up on UNIX. Your host would have to study:
Setting up Email options on UNIX in the Server Extensions Resource Kit

However, it could be they have decided that *they* won't support them on
their UNIX servers.
