Hi Antonio,
I think it may be more of a language thing. I'm not entirely sure
what you're looking for.
Are you looking for a specific webmail service that would make
messages appear like they're coming from specific countries?

Thanks Todd. One ip address in your yahoo message header can show who
is your isp so it's possible to know where are you from. I want this ip
to show address from some other eu country. Is there any solution for
this.
Many thanks

You can always just look up one of the free public http proxies that are
in the country you desire, and go through Yahoo's webmail interface to
post through the proxy. It will show the proxy's IP address as
originating sender for the e-mail.

Really? Do you have a pointer to more details?

If you can secure an account with someone or have a buddy with a box
in that country, you could bounce through their machine with a proxy.
ssh access to a linux box in the country of your desire and ssh -D
9999 to it, and then using a web browser on your box setting socks4
proxy to 127.0.0.1:9999 would do it.
Basically folks wanting to do something like this just a socks proxy
they can access in the country you want to appear to be coming from.
The cadillac of solutions to this would involve you have your own colo
box in the country you desire to be "from" and run it yourself. Not
sure if there are ISP's out there though that might sell you simple
proxy access. It's kinda an odd request, and typically those
interested in spoofing their real geography like this are up to no
good.

Todd, i don't have a link, i found it checking ip addresses in whois.
Thanks for advice. It's not simple but could be the only solution. So i
have to access my yahoo account through my friend's computer in that
country. Do you have a link with explanation how to do this.
Notan, MC thank you, but in that way they will know i use securstar or
proxy servers. Is that right.
If someone knows for a more simple solution please let me know.
Thanks

What OS is his computer and how are you accessing it?

Depends on answer above.
But, if you just want to randomize what country your associated IP is
from, there are products out there like ghostsurf, and free things
(albeit slow) like tor+privoxy.
But if you want it to look like one specific company, bouncing through
one host in that country is probably the approach that's most
feasible.

If he installs an ssh server of some sort, be it openssh's sshd via
cygwin.com framework, or VanDyke.com VShell server, and gives you an
account, you should be able to do what you want.
Once the ssh server is running, you'd get cygwin.com for your own
machine, install openssh and in the cygwin shell you'd do something
like
$ ssh -D 1080 useronfriendsmachine@user.machine.ip.address
to log in to your buddy's machine and set up the proxy server.
then you'd configure your web browser of choice to use a proxy,
specify a socks4 proxy at address 127.0.0.1 port 1080
and that's it. you can test the configuration by visiting
http://whatismyip.com/ and it should report back your buddy's IP
address rather than your own. Then, you're off to surf as you wish
and you'll appear to be coming from that country of your buddy's
machine.
Best Regards,

The details I'm not sure of is setting up sshd under cygwin.
Cygwin.com has a an installation program. You'll find openssh under
the Net> category. Just click the New column for that until you see a
version number. By default I think openssh may be deselected.
Both you and your buddy will need to do that.
Then this will tell your buddy how to configure the ssh daemon
(sshd). Note you only need the daemon set up on his box.
http://www.cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2003-09/msg00977.html
Your buddy will need to open a port in his firewall, and add a user in
cygwin for you. I'd strongly recommend not running sshd on the
default port of tcp/22 because of all the script kiddie attacks out
there. Run it on some other high numbered port 42035 or something
like that.
Once your buddy has succeeded in setting up sshd on his box and opened
that port on his firewall, you'll open the cygwin shell on your
computer and issue this command:
sshd -p 42035 -D 1080 youruseridonbuddybox@yourbuddyip.address
And then, setup your web browser to use a proxy, socks4 proxy at
127.0.0.1 port 1080.
good luck!

what in his post[s] makes you think he is not the next script kiddie on
the block? One more puke I have to thwart!
just sayin is all. OTOH, if you direct him specifically you can share
the booty....and the time?

Relax warf :). It's sharing of knowledge. How you will use this
knowledge is different story.
And now let's go on topic. After reading some basis about proxy servers
it seems we skipped the most simple solution. If i can use elite proxy
in a way that other party doesn't know i use proxy, why not go this
way.
Thanks
