Blogging app

Hi

Can anyone recommend a good asp/asp.net blogging app that I can install on
my own server?

most popular blog apps for asp.net are Community Server (communityserver.org) DasBlog (www.dasblog.net) and Subtext (subtextproject.com). My blog engine, Vine Type (vinetype.com) is not as popular, but getting positive reviews and increased attention.

Community Server is probably overkill for a single blogger. I can recommend all the above.

OK I was in need of a blog app and I found this topic. I have downloaded the
blog apps and I dont know whats required afterwards. How do you install the
app, I was looking for an installation/setup .exe file but could not find
one. Am i missing something, the zip file contains what looks like a VS.Net
app. Please educate me on how to install and incorporate into another
application. Pardon my ignorance.

Which app it is? It looks like you've downloaded a project, which has to be
uploaded manually to your server. When you have a shared hosting you can't
use an installation/setup .exe

If you need to install it locally, copy all files to your local site dir and
goto http://localhost

Hey Alex thanks for the reply. I did copy the app to the local server and was
able to work with the app. Thanks for the response!
