The two failed tests aren't Oracle tests, but are checking how exit codes
are handled on your OS:

is system("exit 1;"), 1<<8, 'system exit 1 should return 256';
is system("exit 0;"), 0, 'system exit 0 should return 0';

All the Oracle tests run and pass, so there's nothing apparently wrong on
the Oracle side, but those above fail.
According to the docs for "system":

"Return value of -1 indicates a failure to start the program or an error of
the wait(2) system call (inspect $! for the reason)."

What output do you get if you run the following:

perl -e 'system("exit 1;"); print "$? $!\n"'
perl -e 'system("exit 0;"); print "$? $!\n"'
