certificate problem
am 24.04.2007 02:06:01 von locoytravieso
Hi All-
I repurposed a virtual server and an old certificate to a different CA is
stuck in IIS and I can't figure out any way to remove it. Additionally, when
I try to submit a new certificate it goes to the old location. Do I need to
just start over from scratch and reinstall Windows to get this problem
resolved?
Thanks,
locoytravieso

Under the directory security in properties of the virtual directory I select
Server Certificate. That brings up the Wizard. Then I click Next, Assign an
existing. There is where I am seeing this old certificate I want to
completely erase. If I double click on it, it says I have a private key that
corresponds to this certificate. I just want to delete this out completely
and don't know how to do it.
Any help would be most appreciated!
Thanks

Ok, in this case, you can go cert mmc.
at run windows enter 'mmc'
then file menu - add remove snap in
at the snap in window - click add - select certificates - click add, choose
computer account, local computer.
click ok, close, etc to go back to the main mmc
navigate to personal folder - certificates - find and delete it
