Your question is a bit vague. Do you mean using Perl to obtain
performance related parameters for another process, or you want
performance related parameters for a Perl program? Or perhaps both?
Also, I don't know how cycles per second is related to memory usage.

Also, obtaining performance related parameters for a process tend to be
platform specific. Your operating system should provide some
tools/utilities to help with that. You don't mention what platform(s)
you are using.

Try searching CPAN (http://search.cpan.org), e.g. for something like
"perf". Also look at the Devel::* modules, some of which can give useful
info about Perl programs.
