Connection error!

Hi all,

I'm getting this error message "Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server, consider upgrading MySQL client" when I try to connect to the DB server!

Any ideas?

All the scripts are in the web server. But the DB server is a different server!!

PHP v4.1.2
MySQL v3.23.49
Apache v1.3.23

the computers got the same mysql version ( very extra mega giga obsolete ) ?

No, the DB server has MySQL 5.0.18

what is your server php ip.. i created an example:
10.30.11.6
and your mysql server 10.30.11.7

what u should do was.. created an user that use server
10.30.11.6 and then reload it.

try connect using the user u create but remember the host
was 10.30.11.7
