Self certifying SSL

Self certifying SSL

Hi

I have a couple little issues which someone hopefully can assist with. I
have created a self certifying SSL which when displyed via the IIS MMC says:

Issued to: xx.xx.xx.xx (router ip address)
Issued by: xx.xx.xx.xx (router ip address)

OWA works fine although even when installing the certificate onto the local
pc there is still the certificate error.

I am trying to setup RPC over HTTP and seem to access the server but get the
following error after i have put in the logon credentials

'There is a problem with the proxy servers security certificate, the name on
the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the target
site server.domain.com'

What do i need to change my ssl certificate to?

Thanks

Simon

To the name shown in the error message.

Hi Dan

Thanks for giving me the obvious answer, had i used my brain i would of
saved us both time and effort! Anyway that has sorted out the certificate
error on OWA and has cleared the message on RPC over HTTP and all i get now
is 'the Microsoft Exchange sever is unavailable' Is there any other settings
i need to put into the pc i.e. DNS settings?

Sorry, can't help any further as I've never had the misfortune to have to
mess with Exchange and/or OWA.

I'll state the obvious and ask have you installed the RPC over HTTP
Proxy service on the Exchange Server - other than that, make sure Port
593 is open and acessible.
