iis security error

iis security error

am 26.06.2007 19:54:14 von Eduardo

Hello...

I'm prety sure that this problem has todo with IIS security.

I have the following problem. I set up CRM 3.0 on a Virtual PC Server
inside a windows 2003 server.

Inside the VPC the crm server behaves correctly, I can open Internet
explorer and connect normally.

Now, when connecting from the host server or from another computer in
another network, I cannot connect to CRM.

Is not that I'm having network problems, because when IE tries to connect to
CRM Website, it asks for a user and password.

In a normal case the user will be crmdomain\user. the user is created in
Active Directory and CRM within the VPC.

Apparently the VPC IIS is not accepting the user, because at the third time
the message displayed is "You are not authorized to view this page".

Maybe this is a configuration in CRM's website in IIS or a global
configuration in IIS. I recall one time I had the same error when trying to
change the default 5555 crm port in IIS to another value. The only way I
found to correct the problem that time was to reverse the change.

does anyone know how to fix this error? or maybe troubleshooting it?

please any help will be appreciated.

thanks

Eduardo

No idea about CRM requirement. does the user need to have admin rights or ?
IE prompts for login becoz the existing user doesn't has the permission to
access it.

have you try login as the administrator of the w2k3 ?
