I don't see much future for Ruby, fact is it simply doesn't do
anything that other solutions aren't already doing...and in most cases
far better. The language syntax is also "stupid simple", good for
people who don't know how to program but annoying as fuck for those
that do. The code often times winds up looking quite sloppy because
they stripped out a lot of regular programming syntax to make it look
simple...problem is a lot of what they stripped out is what makes it
easier to read. It might look more "complicated" to a dumbfuck who
can't program, but to someone who can, it gives the code punctuation.
Without it, it's like reading a story with no periods and no capital
letters. o_O

And really, Ruby is ONLY popular for that reason...it's "stupid
simple"...which creates a kind of balloon cause suddenly every other
screwjob wannabe developer thinks they can program, but then they
quickly find out that if you're not a programmer the best you can do,
even with a "stupid simple" language, is dribbling kiddie shit that no
one wants or needs. So then you wind up with a pseudo tech bubble of
retarded wannabes seeking to push the greater fool theory, trying to
pass off Ruby to techno-know-nothings as some great messiah of a
development platform that'll magically make them rich and
successful...of course, as we all know, the balloon does eventually
pop.

Me...I'm gonna stick with a languages that actually HAVE a
future...ActionScript...XML...Java...PHP.

CSS is pointless, why bother with it when you can use its big brother
XML in conjunction with ActionScript. And why bother with javascript
when it's not even a shadow compared to what ActionScript can do.
HTML still has a slight future...within a Flash application. Most
people are hoping that the next release of Flash will include more
support for HTML tags for use within the Flash environment itself.
