w3wp.exe terminates occasionally

w3wp.exe terminates occasionally

am 02.07.2007 19:29:15 von snthampi

I have a windows 2003 server that hosts about 50 asp.net websites.
The server has both asp.net 1.1 and 2.0 installed. Except one, all
other websites are running on asp.net 1.1. A specific website that
has more traffic than others terminates occasionally especially after
calling a function in a third party dll. The third party couldn't
help at all. I have a crash analysis and memory leak analysis dump
files. I couldn't really figure it out from the analysis files. Can
anyone help me with this to locate the problem?. If yes, how can I
upload the dump file? Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in
advance.

Please insist that the third party support personel take
responsibility for this issue.

If they cannot help identify the problem, then do you think they will
be able to resolve the problem after you locate it for them? It is not
useful to locate the problem if it cannot be fixed. They will need to
provide you with matching symbol file(s) for their binarie(s) involved
in the crash so that DebugDiag can provide the properly resolved stack
backtrace that the third party should be able to act on.

Thus, it is not that I do not want to help you locate the problem. I
want to make sure that the responsible party actually takes
responsibility -- you are responsible for pushing them to take
responsibility, and I am responsible for making you push them. :-)
