data area passed to a system call is too small

My client is downloading 100MB-400MB from remote sites via HTTPS to his Small
Business Server 2003. Some of the downloads are not making. They either
time out and show web page cannot be found or an error message saying the
data area passed to a system call is too small. Inside the network, he has no
problem transferring files via Https

Has anyone had this problem and what did you to fix the problem.
