Virutal Server URLS in Sharepoint Central Administrator

Hi,

Please excuse my cross-post but both gruops may have insight into
this...

Does anyone know where sharepoint gets the information for the virtual
server lists - http://localhost:31452/VSList.aspx?NextPage=VSSettings.aspx

Particularly, the "URL" field. I cant figure out where this comes
from? It does not match the names of the virutal servers that are
listed in IIS. Plus, some URLS have HTTPS and some do not.

Any super intelligent sole out there have clue about this one?

It is all held in the SharePoint config database.
