I have installed apache on our Sun Server. When I do httpd -l
mod_deflate.c does not come up. Do I have to install apache from
scratch in enable deflate? Can I download a dynamic moduld
mod_deflate.so from somewhere?
We are using apache 2.0.59 on Solaris 10.

Why should it?
/usr/apache2/bin/httpd -l

mod_so.c

Solaris 10 (patched) already has 2.0.58 with mod_deflate included.
As you havent revealed any more than a version number about
how you "installed" Apache, all I would suggest is goto:
