IIS not installing from Windows components wizard

when I select the IIS box, it searches for the files to install. It does see
the files, but does not install it - almost like it is not there. When I try
the XP CD, it does the same thing. It shows the file ***.DL_ and does not do
anything beyond that.

Any ideas?
