accessing files on NAS from IIS6
am 15.08.2007 03:24:10 von Jason Huang
Hi,
My IIS6 is running on my Win2K3 Active Directory.
My file server is on Win2K3 R2, it's not in my AD, but it's in my LAN.
Is it possible to create a virtual directory in my IIS so that users can
access the files from the file server by the web?
Thanks for help.
Jason

Hi,
Yes, that should be possible. The "Deploying and Configuring Internet
Information Services (IIS) 6.0 with Remotely Stored Content on UNC Servers
and NAS Devices" white paper is a great resource for setting up and
configuring (as well as understanding) remote storage. I suggest that you
take a look at it.

Good luck!
